Sidekick has proudly been a majority women-owned business since we opened our doors in 2017 — and just a few weeks ago New York State made it official by giving us our Women-Owned Business Enterprise Certification!

Meet Caitlin Cadieux! Caitlin is a super talented designer, illustrator and animator based out of Troy, NY.

More so than saying “he’s thirteen weeks old” or “he’s three months old”, something about Owen turning 100 days old felt like a HUGE milestone. I do my best to give this little boy everything, but Owen has given me so, so much more—a newfound energy, sense of self, and determination unlike anything I’ve experienced before.

We connected with Cameron Gallagher early in our Sidekick days and we are so glad we did! Cameron is a seriously talented videographer and filmmaker who owns and operates not one, but two different video production companies.

We cannot believe it’s been two years. We know it doesn’t seem all that long, but every time we hit a milestone in our business — whether it be an anniversary or our biggest contract to date — we look back at how far we come and it’s an amazing feeling.

Chad Rabinovitz is the Producing Artistic Director of the Adirondack Theatre Festival and Festival Director of the Adirondack Film Festival. Oh! We almost forgot — he’s also the Producing Artistic Director of the Bloomington Playwrights Project in Indiana.

Meet Jenny! By day Jenny works at The Hyde Collection as their Curator of Museum Education & Programming, and by night, weekend, morning, and every other moment, Jenny is a super-talented fine artist specializing in painting and drawing.

We are so excited to have another intern join the Sidekick team!

We love the Adirondacks, but this team has taken that passion to the next level. Evan and Hilary Williams of Pure Adirondacks have shared their love of the Adirondacks with the world through stunning photography, video and Adirondack-inspired goods.

Valentine’s Day was a little bittersweet for us this year because it was Kaitlin Pope’s last day. Kaitlin has been interning with us for the last few months as she finishes up her last semester at Savannah College of Art & Design.

There are so many “big steps” you have to take in your first couple of years of business and for us, one was to hire an intern.

We’ve just returned from our big trip down to Louisville, Kentucky for Equestricon 2018! As our second year being involved with the team, we’ve been working hard on their creative materials and were so pumped to see it all in action.

It's hard to believe it's been a year since we took the leap and started our own creative studio! It's gone by in a flash, so we wanted to take a little time to reflect on all the amazing people we've met, the fun projects we've contributed to, small victories we've had, favorite memories, and why we did it in the first place.
