As we all make this transition to being open-ish, we wanted to share some communication strategies, because right now, communication is more important than ever.

It’s no secret that we love illustrating posters, mostly because it’s one of those projects that allows us so much creative freedom. We thought we’d share some behind-the-scenes looks into our creative process and all the work that goes into each piece.

Sidekick has proudly been a majority women-owned business since we opened our doors in 2017 — and just a few weeks ago New York State made it official by giving us our Women-Owned Business Enterprise Certification!

Meet Caitlin Cadieux! Caitlin is a super talented designer, illustrator and animator based out of Troy, NY.

More so than saying “he’s thirteen weeks old” or “he’s three months old”, something about Owen turning 100 days old felt like a HUGE milestone. I do my best to give this little boy everything, but Owen has given me so, so much more—a newfound energy, sense of self, and determination unlike anything I’ve experienced before.

We connected with Cameron Gallagher early in our Sidekick days and we are so glad we did! Cameron is a seriously talented videographer and filmmaker who owns and operates not one, but two different video production companies.

We cannot believe it’s been two years. We know it doesn’t seem all that long, but every time we hit a milestone in our business — whether it be an anniversary or our biggest contract to date — we look back at how far we come and it’s an amazing feeling.

Chad Rabinovitz is the Producing Artistic Director of the Adirondack Theatre Festival and Festival Director of the Adirondack Film Festival. Oh! We almost forgot — he’s also the Producing Artistic Director of the Bloomington Playwrights Project in Indiana.

Meet Jenny! By day Jenny works at The Hyde Collection as their Curator of Museum Education & Programming, and by night, weekend, morning, and every other moment, Jenny is a super-talented fine artist specializing in painting and drawing.
